The Minnesota Building and Construction Trades Council seeks to hire a communications professional to lead its emerging communications program.
This role will be responsible for the development and implementation of internal and external communications strategies for a statewide union construction industry labor organization including:
- Outreach and engagement strategies,
- Media relations,
- Social media and website management,
- Research and analysis of industry data,
- Marketing, including project management and vendor management,
- Publication design and layout,
- Event strategies, and
- Creating and publishing original content that advances the union construction industry in Minnesota
Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in communications or public relations including business and technical writing expertise and experience in the development, implementation and execution of a communications program. Skills must include excellent written and oral communications, proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, and exceptional attention to detail. Additional skills include excellent partnering skills to work collaboratively, effectively and efficiently with internal and external stakeholders and a commitment to protecting and promoting Minnesota union construction workers.
