On March 25, 2020, Governor Walz declared that Minnesota’s Building Trades members perform essential services that are critical to maintaining the health and safety of Minnesotans. The safety of Minnesota’s construction workers is our first priority. By following CDC and Minnesota Department of Health guidelines, construction will continue under Minnesota’s Stay at Home Order, Emergency Executive Order 20-20.
In Minnesota, construction workers build, maintain, operate and repair our critical infrastructure from energy, water, roads, bridges, and transit to hospitals, schools, housing and centers of commerce. Minnesota building and construction trade workers, literally, keep the lights on.
As we work together to address the COVID-19 crisis in our State, Minnesotans can be confident that the construction industry will be hard at work building and maintaining the infrastructure that we rely on every day.
