St. Paul, Minn. – Joe Fowler, President of the Minnesota Building and Construction Trades Council released this statement regarding the President Joe Biden’s visit to Minnesota on Tuesday, November 30, 2021:
“As President of the Minnesota Building and Construction Trades Council, I had the opportunity to attend President Joe Biden’s event yesterday in Rosemount that highlighted the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Bill. The Infrastructure Bill will send more than $6 billion to Minnesota for road and bridge repair, wastewater, and transit systems.
President Biden made it clear that the investments in Minnesota will create thousands of new jobs in the construction industry, jobs that will grow the middle class and pay the prevailing wage. I was able to tell the President that the building and construction trades have the workers willing to go to work now, and that our affiliates are ready to train the next generation of workers that will build out the projects and build up the middle class.”
