The Building Trades serve as the advocate voice for unionized construction workers in Minnesota. The Building Trades endorses candidates for political office who take positions that align with the Building Trades mission, vision and goals.

Candidates for the Minnesota Legislature and Local Offices are endorsed by the Regional Building Trades Council in the District . At its discretion, the Regional Building Trades Council may refer an endorsed candidate to the State Building Trades Council for a State endorsement.
